The Ethic DTC Dryade V2 is presented by Ethic as the lightest aluminum handlebar on the market: 655g in 570mm. A steel handlebar of the same dimensions weighs twice as much.

6061-T6 butted aluminum

The 6061-T6 aluminum is heat-treated, and the tube is butted: thicker at the joints, thinner elsewhere. Ethic adds a non-uniform profile — the tube's cross-section varies along its length — to stiffen where needed. This allows it to reach this weight without the handlebar being fragile.

Backsweep

The Dryade is one of the few aluminum handlebars to incorporate backsweep: the ends are slightly set back towards you. The wrists are in a more natural position, and you can feel the difference on long sessions.

Compression: IHC and SCS

The Dryade V2 is slotted and comes with an SCS plug. It accepts IHC (oversize clamp required), SCS (oversize SCS clamp), and ICS thanks to the pre-installed star nut. ⚠️ No HIC on this model.

⚠️ Specific bar ends. Like all oversize aluminum handlebars, it doesn't take standard steel bar ends: plan for aluminum-format bar ends.
