The Striker Steeltanium in black lives up to its name: it is steel treated to approximate the performance of titanium. An oversized, T6-treated 4130 Chromoly, it comes in at 885 grams at 600 mm — the weight of an aluminum handlebar, with the strength of steel.

The T6 treatment

T6 is a heat treatment process: the steel is heated and then cooled in a controlled manner to increase its hardness. As a result, Striker can use thinner walls — making it lighter — without losing any strength.

Compression: SCS ready and HIC

The Steeltanium comes with its SCS sleeve: it is ready for SCS right out of the box. It also accepts standard HIC systems. The clamp and compression system are not included.
